From the app’s terminal

The easiest way to connect. No config files to write.

Open

Section titled “Open”
  1. Open the terminal with ⌘J
  2. Choose Claude Code or Codex from the + above the terminal

They start connected to the current board. Ask things like “draw this project’s architecture on the board.”

When you type the command yourself

If you start claude or codex by typing in the terminal, they connect too — as long as Settings › Integrations › Connect automatically when started in the app’s terminal is on (it is by default).

Check the connection

Click Not connected (or 1 connected, 2 connected, …) above the terminal to see connected clients and recently called tools.

Use quick starts

Folto’s quick starts work as slash commands in Claude Code, such as /mcp__folto__structure. Type /mcp__folto__ to see the list.
